Nad Al Sheba Curvilinear Villa, Dubai

A continuous wave-form roofline ripples across the whole frontage, its dark scaled soffit traced by warm cove light that follows every curve, frameless glazing rising through the double-height core — this Nad Al Sheba villa flows as pure sculpture, white curves floating above cove-lit steps at dusk.

Nad Al Sheba, one of the large-plot villa districts of Dubai, gives ALGEDRA the setting for a villa conceptualized in flowing, curvilinear form. The elevation holds symmetry across a broad frontage, two storeys of smooth white render drawn in soft curves, matched wings framing a double-height glazed core at the centre.

The roofline carries the design. A continuous undulating parapet ripples across the whole frontage, curving from wing to wing like a soft ribbon rather than settling into a flat or pitched line, its biomorphic silhouette giving the villa its defining gesture. Beneath the wave, a dark hexagonal-scaled soffit lines the overhang, and warm LED cove strips follow every curve of its edge, so the roofline reads as a band of light tracing the ripple against the evening sky.

The entrance opens the centre. Full-height frameless glazing rises through the double-height core, a curved glass balcony bridging the volume within and a warm-lit hall drawn behind, the transparent core set between the solid white wings. Rounded corners and curved balcony fronts carry the flowing language across both floors, their glass balustrades keeping the curves open and light.

Material contrast sharpens the effect. Smooth white render bodies the villa throughout, its surfaces meeting in soft radii rather than hard edges, while the dark scaled soffit beneath the wave makes the pale curves appear to float. Slim black window frames punctuate the render, and bullnose slab edges flow around the elevation, each traced by cove light that carries down to the steps at ground level.

The three-quarter view reveals the depth of the composition. The wave roof steps and shifts across the plan, the curved balconies project and recede, and the cove ribbons follow every plane so the whole villa glows along its contours at dusk. Manicured lawn fronts the approach, spiral topiary marks the entrance, and a luxury saloon stands in the forecourt, staged for arrival.

White render gives the villa its unifying calm, smooth and sculptural so that curve and light carry the whole expression, the wave roofline supplying the character that names the design. The result is contemporary architecture of quiet daring — organic in its lines, fluid in its massing, and lit so that every curve reads as a flowing gesture across a seamless white elevation.
