One of the foundational aspects of the project was ensuring Meat Moot's recognized industrial visual identity remained intact while simultaneously adapting to Al Khawaneej's distinctive environment.

The layout planning prioritized functional spaces, optimizing circulation paths, ensuring that each area from the entrance to the dining space had clear connectivity and intuitive navigation.

Structural Features & Integration

Key structural features include wooden huts that blend functionality with aesthetics. While huts usually evoke a sense of simplistic design, their integration into the restaurant design was no straightforward task.

Their positioning, weight distribution, and connection points to the main structure were meticulously planned to ensure stability. This wasn't merely an aesthetic endeavor; it was a structural challenge that showcases Algedra's expertise in uniting form and function.

Natural Illumination & Ceiling Design

The role of natural light in architecture can never be overstated. Algedra's decision to incorporate a strategically placed skylight serves dual purposes. First, it maximizes daylight, reducing the establishment’s reliance on artificial lighting during the day, thereby improving energy efficiency.

Second, it adds to the ambiance, creating a lively, dynamic environment that shifts with the passage of the sun. The ceiling, painted in reflective white as opposed to the different hues found in other branches, was a calculated move to further amplify the light effect.
