Your Own Private Boutique

Walk-In Wardrobes · Islands · Display

A marble-topped island at the centre, handbags lit behind glass, a long run of walnut rails under warm light — a dressing room, at its best, feels like a boutique kept for one wardrobe. Dressing room design is the craft of composing that room: the island, the hanging, the lit display, and the mirror you check before you leave. Algedra designs dressing rooms and walk-in wardrobes in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain, and the wider Gulf — drawn, built, and lit to order. For a home in Dubai, see our walk-in closet design in Dubai. The island at the heart. A central island with a stone top and velvet-lined drawers for watches and jewellery — the piece that turns storage into a dressing room, with a surface to fold, pack, and lay out the day.

A wall for each task. The longest run goes to hanging, double-stacked for shirts and folded pieces to full height; drawers and angled shoe shelves take the next; and a lit, glass-fronted section shows the bags worth seeing.

Light that reads true. Warm 3000-kelvin LED at CRI 95 in the rails and shelves, museum-grade and UV-filtered behind glass, so a colour in the wardrobe is the colour in daylight.

What We Design

Dressing room design runs from a compact walk-in to a thirty-square-metre room, and we design every part:

Walk-in wardrobes: galley, L-, or U-shaped rooms planned around full-height hanging, drawers, and clear space to turn and dress.

The island: a stone- or leather-topped island with jewellery drawers, a folding surface, and seating where the room allows.

Display and shoe storage: glass-fronted, lit cabinets for bags and watches, and angled towers for a shoe collection.

His-and-hers zones: two balanced halves for a shared room, each with its own hanging, shelving, drawers, and shoes.

Vanity and mirrors: a dressing table with true-colour lighting, a full-height mirror, and a three-way where there is room to stand back.

Climate and joinery: quiet humidistat-controlled ventilation for the Gulf, cedar-lined drawers against moth, and bespoke joinery in walnut, oak, and glass.

The dressing room sits within the master suite — see our master bedroom interior design service for the room next door.

How We Work

We take a dressing room from the first conversation to the final rail, in clear stages:

The brief: we count what goes in — the hanging, the shoes, the bags, the folded pieces — and plan the room to hold it with room to spare.

Concept and 3D: layouts, finishes, and photoreal views of the island and the display, approved before work begins.

Documentation: joinery drawings, lighting circuits, and ventilation, drawn to municipal code.

Fit-out: our team installing the joinery, glass, lighting, and stone on site.

Styling and handover: rails hung, drawers fitted, and the lighting set, the room handed over ready to fill.

Choose Your Style

A dressing room should match the bedroom it opens from, and ours span:

Boutique Luxe: smoked-glass cabinets, brass framing, and lit display for a private-store feel.

Quiet Minimalist: handleless walnut and oak, closed storage, and a calm, edited look.

Classic Elegant: panelled fronts, a crystal pendant, and a marble-topped island.

Modern Arabic: warm timber, mashrabiya detailing, and rich textiles.

Glamour: mirror, lacquer, and backlit onyx for a dressing room with real drama.
